Terms of Service
Last updated: 18 October 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between HostHolder, an organisation of AFIT Solutions ("HostHolder", "we", "us"), and you, the person or organisation using our services ("you"). By creating an account, placing an order (including clicking "Complete order") or using any HostHolder service, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a contract; if you accept for an organisation, you confirm you may bind it.
1. Our services
- We provide web hosting, reseller hosting, VPS and dedicated servers, domain names, SSL certificates, business email and related services.
- All services are prepaid. Orders are delivered electronically: login details and instructions are sent by email and are shown in your client area.
- Questions about an order can be sent through a support ticket, live chat or email.
2. Your account
- Give true, complete and current details (name, postal address, phone number and email). False or incomplete details can lead to suspension.
- Keep your password safe. You are responsible for everything done with your account. Tell us at once if you suspect unauthorised use.
- One person or business should not open several accounts to use the same promotion more than once.
3. Prices, payments and renewals
- Prices are shown in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT) for Bangladesh and in US dollars (USD) elsewhere. Prices are rounded to whole units.
- We accept bKash, SSLCommerz (cards, mobile banking and internet banking), PayPal, 2Checkout (international cards), mobile money sent by hand and bank transfer. Card and PayPal payments may be charged in USD.
- Services renew automatically for the same period. We email a renewal invoice before the due date (30 days before for domains).
- Renewal prices can change. A changed price applies from the next renewal, and continuing to use the service means you accept it.
- Promotional prices apply to the first term only unless the offer says otherwise.
4. Overdue invoices
- Shared and reseller hosting: suspended 1 day after the due date, a late fee may be added on day 4, and the account may be terminated on day 7.
- VPS and dedicated servers: suspended as soon as the invoice is overdue.
- Domains: an unpaid domain expires on its expiry date; see section 9.
- Data on a terminated service is deleted and may not be recoverable. We are not responsible for data lost because a service was not renewed.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use our services to:
- break any law or court order, or infringe copyright, trademarks or privacy;
- host sites mainly dedicated to pornography, phishing pages, malware, cracked or pirated software (warez), or links to them;
- send spam or unsolicited bulk email, add people to mailing lists without their permission, mail-bomb or forge email headers;
- attack or try to break into any system, including ours (for example DoS/DDoS or SYN floods, port scans, unauthorised access);
- harass anyone, or be abusive to our staff;
- use shared or reseller hosting as a backup store, file or image host, or run mail, IRC, game, streaming or proxy servers on it;
- relay through third-party systems without permission.
We may suspend or terminate a service that breaks these rules, with or without notice. No credit or refund is given for a suspension or termination caused by a violation.
6. Fair use of resources
Shared servers are used by many customers. An account that uses so much CPU, memory, disk activity or bandwidth that it harms other customers may be limited, moved to a suitable plan, or suspended. "Unlimited" features are for normal websites, not for file sharing, streaming or archives.
7. Backups and your data
- We take regular backups as a courtesy, but we do not guarantee them. Keep your own copies of your website, email and databases; you can create backups from your control panel.
- You are responsible for keeping your scripts, CMS, themes and plugins up to date and secure.
- If your website is hacked, contact support and we will help you clean and restore it.
8. Cancellation
- Ask for cancellation from your client area (open the service and choose "Request cancellation") or by a support ticket, before the invoice due date.
- An immediate cancellation ends the service within 24 hours. Cancel any PayPal subscription you set up yourself.
- Dedicated server cancellations must reach us at least 15 days before the renewal date, otherwise the next period may be charged.
- Refunds follow the Refund Policy.
9. Domain names
- A domain belongs to the person or organisation named as its registrant. Registration follows the rules of ICANN and of each registry (for example BTCL for .bd). Your contact (WHOIS) details must be true and current.
- Domains are registered for the period you pay for and are renewed only when the renewal is paid. We send reminders, but renewing on time is your responsibility.
- After expiry a domain may stop working at once, enter a grace or redemption period with extra fees, and then be released to the public. Recovery is not always possible.
- Domain fees are not refundable once a domain is registered, renewed or transferred.
- To move a domain away, unlock it and ask for the transfer (EPP) code in your client area. Transfers may be refused in the first 60 days after registration or a transfer, as the registry rules require.
10. Account transfers to HostHolder
- Shared hosting: free from another cPanel host; manual transfers may carry a one-time fee.
- Reseller hosting: up to 30 accounts free; a small fee for each extra account.
- VPS and dedicated: free with root access; without root access, up to 30 accounts free.
11. Uptime
We aim for 99.9% uptime on web hosting. Planned maintenance, problems caused by your own scripts or actions, attacks, and failures of networks outside our control are not counted as downtime. Any compensation is given as account credit, never as cash.
12. Content and copyright complaints
We do not review what customers publish. If you believe content on our servers infringes your rights, send a written notice to support@hostholder.com naming the material and where it is. We may remove or block it and tell the customer, who can send a counter-notice. Repeat infringers may lose their service.
13. Chargebacks
If you open a chargeback or payment dispute, the related services are suspended until it is resolved, and we may decline future orders. Please contact us first; most billing problems are fixed quickly.
14. Limitation of liability
- Services are provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit, sales, data or reputation.
- Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid for the affected service in the three months before the event.
- You agree to cover our losses and legal costs caused by your content or by your breaking these Terms.
15. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays or outages caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, power or internet failures, large-scale attacks, government actions or failures of our suppliers. We restore service as soon as we can.
16. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Please contact us first so we can try to settle any problem within 30 days; if that fails, the courts of Dhaka have jurisdiction.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The new version is posted on this page with its date. For important changes we also email you. Continuing to use our services means you accept the new Terms; if you do not, you may cancel your service.
